It’s our most favourite time of the year – Ash is already thinking about putting the decorations up, but we keep saying Not yet!!
However we are pleased to announce we have the Christmas Menu ready and you can call now to book 01507 477924.
We will be serving this menu between 2md-23rd December so if you fancy a family get together, works do, Christmas with friends, a community or group lunch then what are you waiting for! Ash, the Chefs and all the lovely staff are waiting to wish you a merry festive season and welcome you with a ho ho ho!
In addition to this we are also pleased to announce we will be open for Christmas Day lunch between 12 and 3pm so if you want to reserve a table please book asap and space is limited and we have lots of interest already.. We look forward to seeing you over the festive period!

We are excited to go live with our new menu on Saturday 28th April 2018.
Donna and the kitchen staff have worked hard to perfect the menu and ensure all the ingredients we use in our meals are gluten free.
They will be noticed by (
g) after the description on our menu and we can also offer some of our meals that are not gluten free as an option marked by (gfo) this means we can swap out the gluten item with a non gluten item!
Also for all those veggies out there we have added some new dishes to our menu marked by (v) or again there may be some options we can make vegetarian that are meat options so these are marked (vgo)
Finally we have also added Fish Dishes to our menu – we are by the seaside so thought it would be great to add some new fish dishes to our menu.
We know there are a lot of GFO eaters out there who are excited to try our new meals so we look forward to seeing you soon and to hear your feedback!

R.I.P Mum, Grandma, Yvonne 11.03.18
We sadly lost our mum yesterday after short term illness. No words can describe the loss we are all feeling but take this opportunity to write a blog in her memory.
Many of our customers who have had the pleasure to meet her will know she was a loving, friendly woman and was the strong fearless one in the family!
Yvonne loved coming to visit Mablethorpe with Tony (hubby) not only to see the grandkids, but to walk on the seafront, enjoy the beautiful sea and fresh air and of course to visit SBG and become a ‘local’ with the locals. In a short space of time she got to know many of you and in turn many of you have asked after her and sent your wishes throughout the last difficult 2-3 months. For that we Thankyou!
Mum loved the pub, she was so proud of what we have done, she loved a glass of wine, chilling with the family, spoiling the grandkids, chatting to the customers and her love of gardening; her little touch was to make the front look pretty; she planted the flowers at the front! We will endeavour to be as green fingered as she was to keep the flower beds in bloom and in memory of her! 🌸
The last visit Mum made to the pub was to watch Four in a Bed where we featured as the hosts for Beach Lodge Hotel evening dinner. Mum loved watching the show all week and was immensely proud to see this – we were so pleased she was strong enough to visit us and take those memories with her! She loved Cheryl’s “Goldfinger” sing a long and gave her a run for her money that night by doing her very own Tina Turner impression! She was always the life and party no matter what!
This Sunday (Mothers Day) was a challenge for all the staff as Yvonne was like family to all at Team SBG. When we got the news in the crucial lunchtime hour the team were in shock and caught off guard. They quickly reined it back in but we just want to apologise to anyone that did dine with us on 11.03.18 that experienced any delays or food not to our normal standard. It was a difficult 24 hours for all the family and we felt it was only right to honour the table bookings we had for Mother’s Day.
Mother’s Day from now on will always be a day for us to remember what a great mum and grandma she was and we will continue to make her proud.

Letting you in on a little secret…. Team SBG are excited to be launching a traditional 80’s Cocktail menu this Easter here at Seaholme Bar and Grill. The bar staff are having training in March with a specialist cocktail maker.

Listen out for a new advert on Lincs FM from Monday 12th Feb where Seaholme Bar and Grill are featured first up… it’s a great advert to promote people coming to visit Mablethorpe and we are excited to be featured for 7 days along with Mr G’s and The Louth Hotel!

Well! What can we say – we have been keeping this secret since September 2017 – when Channel 4 came and filmed The Beach Lodge Hotel on Channel 4’s Four in a Bed. The lovely owners asked if we would feature on the show for them for the evening dinner! Of course we were overwhelmed and happily obliged!
Geez, we won’t deny it we were nervously excited we’d only been open 2 months and were amateurs really! (sssh, no-one knows that!)
The crew turned up late afternoon, blacked out the windows, filled the bar area with huge amounts of equipment and set to work!
The participants arrived and the food was cooking! They had a great evening and so did we, we can’t Thank The Beach Lodge Hotel enough for giving this opportunity and boy do they deserve to win – Yes they do!

Have you had the January Blues? We hope not…
You may see Ash and Donna looking Blue over the next few days (quite literally!) but not because they are suffering the January Blues but because they have had paint brushes in their hands the last two days giving the bar and restaurant a further makeover! Ash did the bottom section and Donna the top of course!

They have been itching to do this since they opened the doors in June but time was upon them and they had to get the doors open – you guys just kept knocking when you saw life at The old Mucky Duck! Requests to book a table and know when we was opening the doors not daily but hourly, so how could we possible let you down!
We are so glad we listened as we have had a great first 6 months (despite it still looking half ‘done up’) and it has been great that we have been able to make SBG (Seaholme Bar and Grill) an all year round bar and restaurant for the locals to enjoy rather than it just be a seasonal place that looks grim and tired in the Winter!
We still have more plans in the pipeline to keep re-vamping the restaurant and bar so keep coming back to see our progress and of course if you have any suggestions – stick them on a postcard! We love to hear our customers feedback to make it your local that you enjoy!

What a great first Christmas (2017) and New Year we have had!
We put the decorations up, built a Santa’s grotto – for the big man and his little elves, created a Christmas Menu and started taking the bookings!
The Turkeys were roasted most days in December, we peeled carrot after carrot, brussel after brussel and served over 250 diners with Christmas dinner with their friends, family or colleagues. They pulled crackers, read the jokes, wore the hats, ate the food, drank the wine and beers and celebrated the festivity of Christmas!
Christmas Eve – Santa came to his grotto the final time and gave all the children a gift! We had buffet food and a disco for £10 a ticket and everyone had a great time.
On Christmas Day we served more roast turkey and all the trimmings to 70 diners – of course the beer was flowing, the wine was guzzled everyone had a fantastic day! The bar filled up with drinkers who popped in for one or two while out for their Christmas day walk! We changed barrel after barrel as the beer just flowed!
New Years eve – the disco came back, we had another buffet for £10 a ticket and yes you guessed it – the beers and wine were flowing and of course; the spirits and the shots! We had a great turn out and it was our pleasure to see the New Year in with new friends, customers and staff!
We will be doing it all again next year so to avoid disappointment please place your bookings early!
